Kids need Chiropractic care too!
From birth to adolescence, children benefit from Chiropractic care. The first traumatic event of life is birth. Depending on the position of a child as they pass through the birth canal, incorrect force can be placed on the child. The effects of this force can present in many ways; an infant who doesn’t feed well, a gassy infant, sleeping issues, chronic ear infections, torticollis (not being able to turn their head both directions) etc. Making sure that your infant’s body is functioning to its optimal capacity makes life easier for them, and for you as parents.
Later in life, children learn how to crawl, walk, run and ride bikes. Inevitably they will have falls, jolts, and crashes. When these events happen we call them micro-traumas. While they may not seem like much as the moment, they can have effects on how the brain communicates with the rest of the body. In children, it may be hard for them to communicate changes or differences they are feeling before the difference just becomes their new normal.
On our trip to the Dominican Republic, Dr. Coty and I were able to assess, treat and interact with many children. Some had no complaints, while others had falls, gassiness, or one child had been injured in a crash and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. All of these children benefitted from their assessment and treatment. Dr. Coty was deemed the pediatric Doc of our group for the care he gave and smiles he elicited in the children.
Adjusted Life Chiropractic derived its name from not only the Chiropractic adjustment’s importance in living your best life, but also in how the adjustment can truly adjust one’s life. Children who aren’t getting sleep, who cannot poop or are unable to turn their head in the early days, for example, the trajectory of their entire lives could be adjusted (see what I did there?) if they didn’t suffer from these things. Reach out with any questions you may have, and enjoy these photos of some Chiro Kids we saw in the Dominican!
